Artist in Residence - Lisa B. Evans

Lisa B. Evans | Ceramics | oUTSKIRT Residency July - October 2025

We’re excited to welcome ceramic artist Lisa B. Evans as our current Artist in Residence at oUTSKIRT Studios. Based in Brunswick, Maine, Lisa brings a deep and diverse creative background to the studio, with roots in landscape architecture, fiber arts, and educational retreat programming.

After earning her BLA from Texas A&M University, Lisa transitioned into a craft-focused career that eventually led her to ceramics. Following two decades of self-guided study and exploration, she is now fully immersed in a dedicated studio practice and is currently pursuing a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Ceramics at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

Lisa’s work is defined by her commitment to porcelain, bold color palettes, and organic, hand-built forms. Her use of cobalt, iron, and asymmetrical balance gives each piece a quiet presence and sense of motion. Her pieces have been featured in juried exhibitions and spaces across New England, including the Philadelphia Museum of Art Contemporary Craft Show and the Farnsworth Museum Store.

During her time at oUTSKIRT, Lisa will be developing a new body of mixed media work rooted in porcelain, while actively engaging with our studio community.
