What is this?
oUTSKIRT is a new artists and makers collaborative work space with rehearsal spaces for bands and musicians. Located in Lyman, ME, just 30 minutes from Portland in 15 minutes from Biddeford in the former Cousins School, we have 10,000 sq ft. of interior space on 6.999 acres of land. Just the right amount of elbow room to help you go “ahh.” Studio and rehearsal spaces are available now - and we are offering deals on membership fees to a select few as we kick this off!
Solo & Communal
Everybody needs alone time to let ideas germinate and flower. Other times a conversation or bit of feedback from a neighbor is just the thing to break a rut and sets you back on track. At Outskirt, we’re into both privacy and community in the mix that works for you.
Shared Shops
Wood, metal, ceramics, and tinkering facilities are all developing on site and will be open to members. In addition to our makerspace, there’s a kitchen and lounge coming, as well.
PS – We’re looking for Shop Leads, Pottery Instructors, loaned or donated equipment - or a good deal on your used equipment getting dusty, so shout out if you’re up for that.
Ballgames & Beers
We take making seriously. But not too seriously. Friday night ballgames or spontaneous bonfires are just as important for the creative soul. Did we mention there’s a ball field here?
